Our law firm had the honor of hosting the 41st ICC FraudNet Conference & Meeting, which took place this year in Warsaw.
The conference agenda was filled with timely and highly relevant topics. Over three dynamic and inspiring days, we had the pleasure of welcoming distinguished experts and colleagues from around the world to engage in thought-provoking discussions, share insights, and strengthen international cooperation in the fields of asset recovery and fraud-related litigation.

34 ICC Fraudnet International Conference & Meeting | Limassol, Cypr
Joanna Bogdańska and Jarosław Kruk took part in the 34th International ICC FraudNet Conference and Meeting. The main program of the conference ➔ Sanctions, Fraud and Asset Recovery in a Turbulent World ➔ discussing practical approaches to dealing with sanctions, looking at individual consequences and sanctioned entities, examining disputed cross-border insolvency and restructuring; and an interactive session where future trends, techniques, and tips from around the world were discussed, as well as the role of professionals in carrying out their work in light of the current climate and external pressures.

On October 22-24, 2020, Joanna Bogdanska and Jarosław Kruk attended the 32nd ICC FraudNet International Conference. It was the first virtual event where FraudNet members and their Strategic Partners met online to share a number of interesting presentations on cross-border fraud and asset recovery.

Compensation for the family of a soldier who died during military training
On March 11 in Warsaw, one of the cases conducted by our law firm as part of pro bono activities ended. KW Kruk & Partners had the honor of representing the family of the soldier deceased during military training, obtaining from the State Treasury compensation exceeding PLN 400,000. The case was handled by Katarzyna Dawidziuk and Monika Długosz. The judgment is final.

Conclusion of offset agreements by the Ministry of National Defense, Raytheon, and Lockheed Martin regarding the transfer of defense technologies with a total value of approx. PLN 950 million took 3rd place in the "Legal Market" plebiscite for the Transaction of the Year 2018.

One to One Polonia
On January 23, in Lisbon, was held a seminar, organized by the Polish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in which, in addition to representatives of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, Bank Millennium, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, participated 60 Portuguese entrepreneurs interested in business opportunities in Poland. During individual "one-to-one" meetings, the PPCC General Director - Wojciech Baczyński - was accompanied by Joanna Bogdańska from the KW Kruk and Partners Law Firm, supporting him in the legal aspects of the Polish business environment.

Spór dotyczący budowy stadionu miejskiego w Białymstoku
Kancelaria KW Kruk i Wspólnicy reprezentowała konsorcjum Eiffage w negocjacjach i ugodzie z Miastem Białystok kończącym spór o budowę stadionu miejskiego w Białymstoku. W marcu 2018 roku strony doszły do ugody, w wyniku której polsko-francuskie konsorcjum Eiffage Polska Budownictwo i Eiffage Construction – pierwszy wykonawca stadionu – zapłaciło miastu 80 mln zł. Według doniesień medialnych kancelaria Hogan Lovells oceniła, że jest to najwyższa kwota wypłacona w Polsce w ramach ugody zawartej przez samorząd.

Od października 2016 r. do lipca 2018 r. kancelaria KW Kruk i Wspólnicy świadczyła na rzecz Ministerstwa Obrony Narodowej obsługę prawną w zakresie negocjacji z Raytheon Company i Lockheed Martin Global umów offsetowych w związku z pierwszym etapem zakupu zestawu przeciwlotniczego i rakietowego średniego rakiety zasięgu "WISŁA". Współpraca zakończyła się sukcesem - podpisaniem przez MON (w dniu 23 marca 2018 r.) umów offsetowych z Raytheon Company i Lockheed Martin Global.
